Songkran Festival in Thailand: Holiday Schedule & a Special Giveaway!
What is Songkran?
Songkran is Thailand’s traditional New Year festival, celebrated annually from April 13th to 15th. The word "Songkran" comes from Sanskrit and means "astrological transition." Historically rooted in Hindu and Buddhist traditions, Songkran is a time of cleansing, renewal, and joy. In modern times, it’s known worldwide for its lively water fights — a fun way to symbolically wash away the misfortunes of the past year and welcome a fresh start.
Originally, water was gently poured over Buddha statues and the hands of elders as a sign of respect and purification. Today, the celebration is a vibrant mix of tradition and fun, with street festivals, parades, and water-splashing battles across cities like Bangkok and Chiang Mai.
Important Notice: Holiday Schedule During Songkran
Due to the Songkran holiday, our office will be closed from April 11 to April 16. Please note the following changes in our shipping schedule:
🚚 Courier Delivery, Pickup Points, and Lockers:
- Orders paid by April 7 will be shipped on April 10 as usual.
- Orders placed and paid between April 7 and April 10 will be shipped on April 10 when possible.
- All remaining orders, including those placed and paid after April 10, will be shipped on April 24.
- Starting April 24, shipping operations will resume as normal.
📮 Thailand Post Shipping:
- Our office is closed April 11–16, but outside of these dates, Thailand Post shipments will be processed as usual.
