Thai immune support: andrographis, lingzhi, garlic, noni, vitamin C and zinc
In Thailand "boosting immunity" means specific plants from the national list of herbal medicines: andrographis (fah talai jone) at the first signs of a cold, lingzhi mushroom for recovery, garlic, noni juice — plus pharmacy vitamin C and zinc by Vistra, children's elderberry and honey syrups, and Sukkhaphap D probiotics. Over 60 products from Thanyaporn, Herbal One, Kongka Herb, Abhai Herb, Ouay Un and Handy Herb.
How to choose
Coming down with a cold — andrographis in the first 24–48 hours for 3–5 days, plus vitamin C and zinc. Frequent colds and fatigue — lingzhi or cordyceps for 1–2 months, garlic daily. In season — vitamin D3 and zinc in autumn and winter, a probiotic after antibiotics. Children — children's forms by age only.
Good to know
These are supplements and herbs, not medicines and not a substitute for vaccination or treatment: fever above 38.5 °C for more than 3 days, shortness of breath or purulent tonsillitis need a doctor. Andrographis is not taken in pregnancy or for more than two weeks; lingzhi and garlic enhance anticoagulants.
