Vitamins
Vitamins from Thailand: pharmacy brands Vistra, Mega We Care, Herbal One, Handy Herb
In Thailand vitamins are sold in every pharmacy and 7-Eleven, and at the same doses they cost noticeably less than European equivalents. About 100 products: vitamin C tablets and gummies, zinc, vitamin D3, B-complex, multivitamins with minerals, calcium with D3, biotin, omega-3, plus children's syrups and chewable vitamins. Leading brands: Vistra (Suntory Wellness), Mega We Care, Herbal One, Handy Herb, Yanhee, HaemoVit.
How to choose
Check the dose per tablet (mg or IU) and the count: 30 tablets last a month at one a day, 60–100 make a 2–3 month course. Vistra and Mega We Care are GMP pharmaceutical companies with exact dosing; Handy Herb makes gummies for people who dislike tablets — lower doses, but easier to take daily. Chewable and effervescent forms contain sweeteners.
Good to know
Vitamins are dietary supplements, not medicines. Fat-soluble vitamins A, D and E accumulate — do not exceed the stated dose or combine several products with the same vitamins. Iron, vitamin A and high-dose D — only on a doctor's advice, especially in pregnancy. Children should take children's forms by age.
