Nervous system, sleep and brain
Thai products for the nervous system, sleep and memory
For people who fall asleep slowly, run out of energy by noon or complain of "brain fog". Thailand has time-tested plants for this — ginkgo biloba and gotu kola for circulation and memory, lemongrass and butterfly-pea tea for calm, lingzhi and ginseng for energy — plus magnesium, B vitamins, lavender balms and aroma patches for sleep. About 100 products from Handy Herb, Vistra, Herbal One, Thanyaporn, Mega We Care and Kongka Herb.
How to choose
Slow to fall asleep — start gently: magnesium in the evening, a lavender balm on the temples, butterfly-pea tea; melatonin gummies for jet lag and a broken routine. Poor concentration — ginkgo with gotu kola for 1–2 months, the effect builds up. Low energy — ginseng or lingzhi in the morning, not at night. Herbal capsules are taken in 4–8 week courses; aroma products as needed.
Good to know
These are supplements, herbs and cosmetic products, not medicines: they do not treat insomnia, depression or anxiety disorders — see a doctor for persistent problems. Ginkgo is not combined with anticoagulants or before surgery; ginseng with caution in hypertension; melatonin not for children or before driving. Do not combine several sedatives.
